Salzburg Global Seminar

生徒たちが国際的な活動を自分の将来の選択肢として身近に感じてもらえるようにするために、本校は国際的な企業や団体と活動しています。

2023年6月には、Salzburg Global Seminarがオーストリアで開催した、日本インド革新技術ネットワーク(Japan India Transformative Technology Network)のプログラムに参加しました。本校は、日本の子供たちが国際貢献に参加できるような国際的な教育プログラムのデザインを提案して、現在もオンラインで実現のために活動しています。

帰国後、授業の中で海外の人々がどのように活動していたか、どうやって自分が国際的なプログラムに参加したかを生徒たちに話したところ、身近な人が実際にやったことなので関心を持ってくれたようです。今回については、渡航費や滞在費は日本財団が支援して下さったので、英語ができれば資金援助を受けて海外で活動する道があることを説明しました。また、いつもSTEAMの授業でやっているグループワークを海外の人もやっていることを知って、やる気が出たようです。

本校の生徒の中から、国際的な活動に参加してくれる人が育ってくれることを心から願っています。

Salzburg Global Seminar（ザルツブルグ・グローバルセミナー）は、米国ハーバード大学の学生たちが中心になって1947年に設立されたもので、第二次大戦後の米欧の次世代リーダーのネットワークを再構築してグローバルな課題についての議論の場を提供することを目的にしています。日本財団は25年以上、その活動を支援しています。

Our school works with international companies and organizations to help students become familiar with international activities as an option for their future.

This time, with the cooperation of the Nippon Foundation, I participated in a program of the Japan India Transformative Technology Network  in Salzburg, Austria, where I proposed the design of an international educational program in which Japanese children could participate.

When I told the students how people participated in international activities and how they got involved in international programs in STEAM classes after returning home, they seemed interested in it because it was something that someone close to them actually did. They were also motivated to learn that people from other countries were also doing the group work that they always do in STEAM classes.

We sincerely hope that some of our students will grow up to participate in international activities.

The Salzburg Global Seminar was founded in 1947 by students from Harvard University in the United States, with the aim of reestablishing a network of next-generation leaders from the United States and Europe after World War II and providing a forum for discussion of global issues. The purpose of the program is to provide a forum for discussion of global issues. The Nippon Foundation has supported its activities for more than 25 years.
