OECD パリ本部で教育の会議に出席しました

本校では、急速に変化する社会の中で、子供たちが自分の道を見つけ責任を持って自分の道を切り開きながら進むことができるようにするために、国際社会と協力しながら新しい教育を開発しています。その取り組みの中で、2024年2月にOECDパリ本部で開催された「新しい社会で必要とされる子供たちのスキルに関する会議」に日本の代表として、今井が出席しました。会議の中では、世界の子供たちのスキルの状態が統計データとして報告され、カリキュラムなどの議論があり、本校で実施している新たな取り組みを紹介したところ好評でした。

OECDでは、客観的なデータに基づいてグローバルな視点で教育を改善できるよう、OECDラーニング・コンパス2030の作成や学習到達度テストPISA（Programme for International Student Assessment）などを実施しているため、本校でもその活動に賛同し、子供たちの幸せな未来のために積極的に支援して情報交換をしています。

OECDでは新しい社会で幸せになれるためには学力以外のスキルも重要であると考え、新たに社会性や情緒を調査する手法を開発してOECD Survey on Social and Emotional Skills（OECD社会性と情緒のスキルの調査）を2019年より実施しています。2023年の調査には、15カ国16サイトが参加し、日本からは初めて群馬県が参加しました。各国からプロジェクトマネージャが選ばれてOECDと連携して調査を実施したのですが、日本のプロジェクトマネージャーには、国際プロジェクトに慣れている今井が選ばれ、今もオンラインで協働しています。

調査結果につきましては2024年4月26日の公式公開を待って、ご報告させて頂きたいと思います。今後も、生徒、保護者様、先生方、世界の仲間と共に新しい教育を開発していきますのでご協力をどうぞよろしくお願い致します。

We are developing a new education in cooperation with the international community to help children find their paths in a rapidly changing society that involves responsibility and where they can make their way forward on their own. As part of this effort, Dr. Imai, Director of the Education Strategy Office, attended the “Conference on Children’s Skills Needed in a New Society” held at the OECD Paris Headquarters in February 2024 as a representative of Japan. During the conference, the state of skills of children worldwide was reported as statistical data, and there were discussions on curriculum, etc. The new initiatives implemented at our school were introduced and well received.

Since the OECD has created the OECD Learning Compass 2030 and the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), a learning achievement test, to improve education from a global perspective based on objective data, our school supports its activities. We actively support and exchange information with them for our children’s happy future.

The OECD believes that skills other than academic achievement are also important for well-being in the new society. It has developed a new methodology to survey social and emotional skills and is conducting the OECD Survey on Social and Emotional Skills in 2019. Sixteen sites from 15 countries participated in the 2023 survey, with Gunma Prefecture being the first from Japan. Project managers were selected from each country to survey collaboration with the OECD. Familiar with international projects, Dr. Imai was selected as the Japanese project manager and is still working with OECD online.
